How far in advance do you invite people, and how many do you invite? Facebook can be handy for this kind of thing, as most people use it, they can see who else is invited, and you can get some idea of how many people are going to come.

In my experience, unless I've been told by people before I start organising things that they'll come, no one comes. Turns out I don't handle that very well.

Have you tried organising stuff? Walks, dinner parties, board games nights, whatever comes to mind. Sometimes there are other people around in the same situation of wanting more social activity, the problem is just that nobody gets around to organising anything, they all just wait to be invited.

Saying 27's a person is a rather simplified version.

At the moment my ideas are to go to more than one church service each Sunday and to meet up with Ben for "coffee" each week. Beyond that, I've got no real idea.

I only use JSON when giving data to a browser and, as JSON is pure javascript, it gets all the advantages of the speedups in the current javascript engines.

For server->server, I still prefer XML.

I think the method looks and works great :D but have heard that json seems to be faster for encoding but slow in decoding.

I couldn't compile SilverStripe and PHP 5.4 and it's a sad thing, since websites with SilverStripe are really easy to edit because it provides an intuitive to use, powerful content management system.
