Java speeds Global Warming

by requiring bigger and bigger servers, more and more cpu cycles, more RAM to keep refreshed.. Not to mention the longer projects means more coffee consumption. You gotta ship that coffee from 3rd work to java dev world, burning more fossil fuels.

And don't get me started on how many more resources eclipse requires over "normal" editors like VI or even ... emacs.

Please, enterprise architects, please think of the polar bears.
